America was founded by white people. We stole it from the native population fair and square (maybe not?). And now come the so-called black population wanting their cut. So after Abraham Lincoln 'freed the slaves' almost 150 years ago, we now have a 'black' person (who is half-white) running for Lincoln's old job. Well, sometimes the things that take a long time ... take longer.

Black leadership, an oxymoron in my book when one considers self-appointed, race-baiting, extortionist hustlers like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Louis Farakahn and Jeremiah Wright. Those fellows are as bigoted as any white that ever lived. Those self-proclaimed black leaders only lead those who don't mind being led down the path of handouts.

The real black leaders are those success stories who are creating jobs and taking charge of their lives. Bill Cosby et al have it right.

Many blacks are chomping at the bit at the prospect of a black candidate actually becoming the President of The United States. I have two thoughts about that at this time:

1. Since Obama is half-white, isn't it fair to say he wouldn't be a 'black' president. I'd like to think the whites are meeting this issue half-way since he had a white mother.

2. Why is Obama running at such a young age? My thought is his fear that as older blacks die off, there won't be enough streets left to name after him.

The upside to this 2008 election, assuming a peaceful election season, is the possibility that serious and capable black leadership will follow and the extortionist opportunists named above will pass by the wayside.
