ANSON Shriner STERLING SILVER & DIAMOND cuff links & tie tack.
These Shriner cufflinks were made by quality men's jeweler ANSON. They are made of solid sterling silver and marked as such on each piece.
This is a vintage set circa 1950's perhaps into 1960's or so.
They show the classic symbol of the Shriners and there's a bit of added sparkle in the form of some half point diamonds (The original owner tells us they real but I haven't had them tested).
The oval-shaped cufflinks measure 1 by 5/8 inches. Each is marked ANSON STERLING in excellent new in box condition.
They have never been worn and are still in the original box ... Only time out was to verify marks and to prepare for sale.
The combined weight is 13.7 grams including the (Probably half point diamonds according to Internet research) diamonds of which there are three (3) in each scimitar.

About the directly following pieces: For a HANDCRAFTED piece, materials generally used are natural Turquoise and Mother of Pearl. Also included are premium manmade corals like Bloody red and orange spiny, forest green malachite, cool blue and fire and ice opals, gaspeite, sugulite and jet black.
The complicated process of inlay:
First you must be a creative individual with a lot of patience and dedication to work in order to fulfill the desire of putting your imagination to reality. At first it is just an ordinary painted design, but take a closer look and scrutinize the details. One will be will amazed as to how the artist came up with a spectacular work of art, NOT machine made but all handcrafted.
The different colors you see in each piece are made of different gemstones. Nails or fingers get hurt or cut because stones are cut very thinly, (thin as a paper) and are ground and glued together to make a certain design. This is tedious and time consuming but to the artists it is their calling to produce the best of handcrafted jewelry. From imagination to reality comes a beautiful piece of jewelry.

Unmarked as Sterling Silver and surface scratches reveal use over the years making a real value difficult. Certainly a conversation piece though!
